The National Association of Nigerian Students has said Ojo Aderemi remains the Students Union President of the University of Ibadan.
This position was communicated by the body’s State Chairman in Oyo, Teslim Abiola “Ojo Aderemi remains a member of NANS Senate as stated in our Constitution on Union leaders and Victimized leaders until a new leadership is elected in the institution”.
Teslim also washed off Ojo Aderemi the suspended Students Union President of University of Ibadan of any involvement in the proposed NANS Protest in the Varsity “Ojo Aderemi never motivated us to protest in the University, he is a member of the Senate but he is not the reason why we are protesting”.
This is coming after the University of Ibadan Vice Chancellor in a Press Release posted on his Facebook wall accused Ojo Aderemi of been behind the NANS proposed protest in the University.
Ojo Aderemi before the suspension of Union activities was the Students Union President in University of Ibadan, he has been accused severally by the University Management of steering Students against the Idowu Olayinka led administration, an accusation Ojo Aderemi has continued to deny, labeling it as ‘blackmail’.
