The ongoing strike by Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities,Senior Staffs Association of Nigerian Universities and NAAT may not end soon.
EDUCATION HERALD can report reliably that the Federal Government is yet to reach out to the striking Union for further negotiation after the December 19 meeting in Abuja.
Speaking with EDUCATION HERALD Spokesman of SSANU Abdulsubor Salaam said “There are no hopes of meeting anytime soon as we have not seen that signal,there is nothing on the strike for now”.
It would be recalled that JAC members disrupted JAMB Mock Examination scheduled earlier for Obafemi Awolowo University on Monday,26th of February 2018.
The workers are protesting alleged disparity in payment of Earned allowance to Non-Academic staffs and Academic Staffs in Nigerian Universities with a reported 89% to 11% sharing ratio .
